“The project was brief but I managed to get a lot of experience as far as the education process of the country. It is a very different system than the one we have in the United Kingdom and it was a good experience being able to see teachers doing all they can with little resources available. The children of the school were brilliant with many having better hand writing skills than most U.K students that I have seen. The school staff did a great job at making feel welcome along with my home stay family which I already miss dearly. Naveen, the CEO is doing a great work with this program and I would recommend the experience for anyone who is looking to step off the beaten path and experience what life is like in a country that is looking to make progress.” – Julia Susan Assimacopoulou, Volunteered as an Educational Consulatant & ESL Teacher)
“After spending several years in the corporate world, I needed to get involved in something meaningful and wanted to work with less-privileged children. Jesus Educational & Social Upliftment Society has provided me with the platform to use my experience in a way that gave me immense joy and satisfaction. I feel far more accountable than I felt in my corporate job and the belief that I can make a difference in the life of less-privileged children keeps me going. This is an extremely humbling experience.” – Naveen Jacob George, Chief Executive Officer, at Jesus Educational & Social Upliftment Society.
